"He attended the All Science Research Academy on Yerphonia."
―Jocasta Nu, on Granta Omega[2]

Yerphonia was a terrestrial celestial body[2] located in the Yerphonia system of the Core Worlds.[1] It was the site of the prestigious All Science Research Academy.[3]

The Human[4] future entrepreneur Granta Omega, who hailed from the moon Nierport VII in[2] the Colonies'[5] Eeropha system, attended the institution on Yerphonia thanks to sponsorship by[2] the Galactic Republic[4] senator Sano Sauro. Omega graduated from the academy[2] around 32 BBY, shortly before the Battle of Naboo,[6] a fact that archivist Jocasta Nu of[2] the Jedi Order's Archives[7] uncovered seven years later and subsequently relayed to Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was searching for Omega at the time.[2]

Behind the scenes

Yerphonia was first mentioned in The Master of Disguise, the 2002 fourth entry in Jude Watson's Star Wars: Jedi Quest series of young reader novels.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Yerphonia system, and therefore Yerphonia itself, in grid square L-9.[1]
