Yellow Nine Squadron comprised twelve[1] starfighter pilots under the command of Yellow Nine Leader protecting a top secret Centrality Navy base conducting research into cloaking[1] technology in the Hosrel system. While undergoing a routine patrol, they were alerted by their Operator that a bandit had entered the system at coordinates three-five-oh-two-three[1]. Yellow Nine Leader requested a procedure six-sixty-six, scramble and visual checkout of an unidentified object. What they encountered, unbeknownst to them, was the Oswaft Lehesu, who inadvertently caused Yellow Nine Seven to crash when it came into contact with his fins. The squadron regrouped and attacked where they believed Lehesu to be, but he had already jumped to Hyperspace and Yellow Nine Four was caught in the crossfire. While returning to base, Yellow Nine Nine missed the mouth of the Launche/Reentry tunnel and collided with the face of a nearby mountainside.
