A house on Naboo belonged to wives Yané and Saché, both former handmaidens of Padmé Amidala. Yané had bought the house by the time Amidala's second term as queen had ended[2] in 28 BBY.[3] Mariek Panaka had cousins living near the house and volunteered them to help Yané with getting the house furnished before the couple moved in.[2] The house was said to be enormous[2] and housed a communications console and Yané's loom. The house also included a garden and a pond.[1]
In 22 BBY,[4] after a mudslide in one of the eastern reaches of Naboo's secondary continent had taken out most of a village, Yané opened the house to the eight child survivors. Eventually, four of them were taken in by other family members. Four days later, the remaining four survivors, all of whom were cousins, slept in Yané and Saché's bed while Yané received a call from Amidala asking for advice on how to use her wedding fabric. Later that same year, Saché sent her children to the garden while she spoke confidentially with Amidala about Amidala's recent mission to Hebekrr Minor and confrontation with Oje N'deeb. The call ended when one of Saché's children fell into the pond, creating a commotion.[1]
