Xot's Megabar was a huge three-story bar that barely fit within the boundaries of the spaceport in the city of Belgar on the rugged planet Belgaroth. It was the only drinking establishment within easy walking distance from the spaceport. Therefore, everyone who landed on the planet and wanted a drink or a bite to eat eventually ended up at Xot’s bar. Next to the bar stood two single-story buildings where spacers could spend the night for a few credits. The identity of the owner remained a mystery, and none of the patrons knew exactly who he was. Local criminal elements often visited Xot’s bar and were well informed about all the underworld affairs of Belgaroth.
Behind the scenes
Xot’s Megabar was conceived in the sourcebook Coruscant and the Core Worlds (2003) for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast. In the informational section about the planet Belgaroth, a brief entry is given about the bar and other locations associated with the planet. The sourcebook suggested beginning one of the game scenarios – «An Unexpected Stop» – at the Belgar spaceport, specifically in Xot’s Megabar.
