The Xephi Sep Award was an award which renowned artist Janyor of Bith received four times sometime prior to the Hosnian Cataclysm[1] in 34 ABY.[2] Not long after that event, the book A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy—a work looking at the usage of propaganda by various factions—was released and contained information that mentioned Janyor receiving the award.[1]

The Xephi Sep Award was first mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Xephi Sep was an eminent artist who was mentioned in West End Games' 1989 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game book Riders of the Maelstrom, written by Ray Winninger.[3]
