Description
The XX-8 was the predecessor of the XX-9 heavy turbolaser. It was similar in design to its successor, though this earlier model featured a taller tower that held both the turbolaser's main turbine and gunnery crew stations. The XX-9's turbine and crew stations were located within the vessel, not the weapon itself.[1]
