The "World Below" was the name given to a lost city underneath the surface of the[1] Outer Rim Territories[2] planet Trif. By the time of the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, the World Below had become viewed as just a legend. Around that time, a series of massive groundquakes opened a fissure leading to the city, proving its existence.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

By 3637 BBY,[3] an individual associated with one of the two sides in the Galactic War sent a companion of theirs to explore the World Below.[1]

Behind the scenes

The World Below was mentioned in the Crew Skill mission "The World Below" which was released as part of the 2014 Shadow of Revan expansion to the 2011 BioWare video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1]

The post also states that Game Updates released in 2014 can be placed in early and mid 3637 BBY, Shadow of Revan takes place near the end of that year, and that the events of Game Updates 3.1 through 3.3 can be placed in early and mid 3636 BBY. Therefore, the events of Game Update 3.0 and the Digital Expansion Shadow of Revan can be placed near the end of 3637 BBY. As the Crew Skill mission "The World Below" was released with the Shadow of Revan expansion, it must therefore take place around that year as well.
