Not relevant to Star Wars. It may be relevant to Wookieepedia, but Wookieepedia is a wiki about Star Wars, not itself. Facts relevant to Wookieepedia should be merged with the Wookieepedia article. - Sikon 06:06, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Keep
- Maybe rename, and focus on Wikipedia's Wikiproject:Star Wars. —Silly Dan (talk) 01:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- Despite our progress, it's still one of the most important sources of Star Wars information on the Internet, as well as the origination point for this wiki. Focus could be improved, but the article itself should remain. jSarek 15:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

- Responsible for the founding of Wookieepedia, so historically important to us. Keep small article. -- Riffsyphon1024 18:30, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wikis don't keep articles relevant to their history, they keep articles relevant to their subject - in Wookieepedia's case, Star Wars. - Sikon 04:53, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- Then we'd better delete Wookieepedia. KEJ 08:45, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

- Wikipedia is just as relevant to Wookieepedia as Wookieepedia is to Star Wars.... sort of something like that. KEJ 23:10, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- Claiming that "Wookieepedia is a wiki about Star Wars, not itself" is nonsense. Kuralyov 06:10, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Prove that Wookieepedia is a wiki about itself. - Sikon 07:55, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's probably appropriate to include a link to the original Votes for deletion/Wikipedia. jSarek 00:31, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- I will, of course change my vote if we delete Wookieepedia's article on itself. --School of Thrawn 101 08:04, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Wookieepedia has an article on itself because Wookieepedia is a notable Star Wars fansite. Wikipedia is notable, but it's not a Star Wars fansite. - Sikon 08:05, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Really? --School of Thrawn 101 08:29, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, really. Wikipedia is a general-purpose encyclopedia that has article on Star Wars subjects, among many others. It's not a Star Wars fansite. - Sikon 13:14, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Neither are we, in all honesty. Sure, it's a fan-driven effort...but aren't we just a specialized encyclopedia? And...to be fair...one could argue that we're simply an extension of the overall goal of the wiki community, anyway, which was pioneered by Wikipedia. By that logic, the article is harmless. I'm all for sticking to Canon, but there is no Canon mention of Wookieepedia within Star Wars universe any more than there is a mention of Wikipedia. That's why it's an OOU article which is relevant because it does have pertinent information regarding the Star Wars franchise. --School of Thrawn 101 14:26, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Wookieepedia is a wiki, an encyclopedia, and a Star Wars fansite. It's part of the Star Wars online culture. Wikipedia isn't. - Sikon 15:00, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Then we disagree at a fundamental level, and there's really nothing more to say. I've already presented two relatively significant sources within Wikipedia that fulfill, essentially, the very same role that Wookieepedia fills in regards to Star Wars-related information. If that's not relevant to the Star Wars online community, in your eyes, I don't know what to tell you. --School of Thrawn 101 13:54, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
