Prancing Bantha
Lemme see.... fanon, unsourced, then dubious sources added, then a plethora of socks appear on the talk page justifying the page's inclusion.
That's a big Delete from me. - QuentinGeorge 01:45, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Delete
- Delete. I'm pretty sure this is rooted in the community and Fanforce sections of the Jedi Council Forums See [1] and [2]. "Forceboat" also turns up similar stuff in Google. I don't think we need forum (dare I say it) cruft on Star Wars Wiki, and it certainly shouldn't pose as canon. -LtNOWIS 02:01, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per Quentin's remarks. I came across the page before I realized it was up for VFD and was actually glad to see someone had gotten to it first. --Esplin 02:04, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- A semi-clever attempt to slip fanon into Wookieepedia. Better than "Rise of the Dark Falls" but still pretty stupid. Should be punished by death by pirhana beetles, but we'll have to settle for deletion and banning. —Darth Culator (talk) 02:49, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- The force boat is sailing to Port Deletion. — Silly Dan 03:17, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- lol. Corny, but I like it :-) --Azizlight 11:59, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - let's take the Forceboat down to the firepit and drop this sucker in. Why wasn't this speedied? --SparqMan 04:59, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Delete I'm familiar with the PB, having posted a few thousand times in it, and I am absolutely certain that it's entirely noncanonical. We shouldn't damage the Wookieepedia's integrity by putting fan material in it. --Grandadmiraljello 05:25, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - Crush Kill Destroy. user:HavetStorm
- Kill the Bantha. -- Riffsyphon1024 14:43, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Delete already! Let's not forget we have the {{Frl}} template. --Azizlight 11:59, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Keep
- "Keep" I found it in the sources, and I wrote it, why wouldn't I vote this way? Furthermore, those aren't socks.-Ambrose
- Those "sources" weren't canon sources and as such, are irrelevant. QuentinGeorge 03:01, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Journal of the Whills is a canon source, isn't it? So is the wookieepedia! :^D Besides, this is something very popular.
- Journal of the Whills is not a canon source, it's a document mentioned in canon sources (like the ANH novelization). Wookieepedia is far from a canon source: it's a fansite that quotes canon sources. And you'll have to prove the popularity of this "Forceboat" or "The Jedi Council Reports" stuff. It sounds like fanfic to me. — Silly Dan 03:15, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Comments
I checked theforce.net's own encyclopedia of Star Wars info and the Prancing Bantha is not in it. As far as I am concerned, anything described as this article has been, it would be in theforce.net's Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia. The Prancing Bantha is completely fandom, made by the fans for the fans to socialize at the Jedi Council Forums' EU Community forum. It is a thread. Forceboat is an inside-joke at the JC's Gaming Forum. I don't know about this Jedi Council Reports thing though. -- Anonymous 10:27pm EST 5 Jan 2006 —Unsigned comment by XX.XXX.XXX.104 (talk • contribs)
