General Gallery 2

Wookieepedia is not here to host Star Wars images, this sort of use isn't covered under fair use, and the gallery itself is pointless and too large. These galleries are apparently to keep unused images from being deleted. If they're unused, there's no reason to keep them around. Incorporate them into articles where possible and eliminate the rest. - Lord Hydronium 06:47, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Just delete it but if you do so I'm also requesting the deletion of all other galleries and all unused images ASAP, even those that might be useful in the future. The galleries were created as a means to categorize the images without editting them one by one. This one, in particular, was to decrease the creation of individual galleries. --Razzy1319 08:59, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

  • I would like to add that we already have an automatically organized gallery of images in Special Pages. The only purpose of this is to arrange them, but its still out of order. -- Riffsyphon1024 17:53, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
    • All the new files gallery does is display the latest uploaded files. it doesnt organize anything. The General Gallery isnt finished, thats why I was asking you for permission to make the gallery. And it is categorized a little, The new files gallery doesnt even have a table of contents. One last thing, I know its a weak defense but, Wikipedia uses galleries. --Razzy1319 18:48, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
      • They also use strictly public domain and GFDL pictures, and can do what they please with them; we don't, so must abide by the fair use doctrine. jSarek 10:06, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
