Fanon, as indicated by the article itself ("unofficial expansion"). - Sikon [Talk] 16:03, 11 Oct 2005 (UTC)

- Delete. You came in that fanon? You're braver than I thought.
- I don't think this is fanon, as it's not in-universe. It's a real mod that is supposedly being develeped in the real world. I still say delete without a source or claim of notability. But that raises a question: We have various unofficial fansites and non-canon fanfilms, so should we ever include the more notable unnoficial mods or fanfics?-LtNOWIS 20:40, 11 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- That's a good idea. Kuralyov 21:15, 11 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I can see having a page for a fan film. Fan films represent an important and (imo) under-recognized segment of the SW fanbase. But even for them, I don't think we should post an article here until they have an actual product.
- Game mods represent an even "greyer" grey area. Should I get my own page if I release a mod for Galactic Battlegrounds that replaces all the Jedi with Sithspawned Ewok monsters? How is this any better or more notable than that idea?
- We have killed the Legacy-class Star Destroyer twice because it came from a game mod. I don't think this is too much different.
- For now, I think we could give them a link on the SWGB page (if they have an actual site we can link to), but not a whole separate page. Later on, when (if) they actually make some progress, and someone is willing to write a good article about them, I'd have less objection to giving them a page. —Darth Culator 23:05, 11 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Gee thanks for you support. =/ SWGB Heaven is an easily respected forum. Lucasforums are also aware of this project. So back off, and when I get some time, let me finish it the article. Please don't delete!
Oh and for your information, the storyline and many, many crafts in this is G-Canon and C-Canon. About a 1/10 of this is N-Canon. So do some research before saying this whole thing is fanon.
This mod doesn't replace any units, it is adding in two new factions. -_-
- Just because the *content* is G and C canon doesn't mean that the *product* isn't fanon. While, upon reflection, I agree that certain very highly notable fan productions (e.g. SWTC, Star Wars Timeline Gold, or TROOPS) should perhaps get single pages to describe their place in the fan community, I don't think this has anywhere near hit the point where it's notable enough to by justified yet. jSarek 00:32, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- If you DELETE me now, I will become an official expansion to Galactic battlegrounds, more powerful than you could possibly imagine. Xilentshadow900 00:37, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Comment: I'm not precisely sure what would constitute a notable fan mod (I'd have to fall back on the "I'd know it if I saw it" definition), but I'm pretty sure that one that isn't even finished does not qualify. — Silly Dan 01:18, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- There are tons of fan mods of games, or projects that never get completed. The only ones worth mention are those that receive wide fan reception, regardless of how closely they follow canon sources. --SparqMan 02:42, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- (one of the FOTR team members)Ok, this mod may have only a few fan created things, but this is so we can make things SWGB has, like pummels for example, to keep the gameplay correct the way Lucasarts did it. Even Lucasarts admits that alot of their units are not canon. I think you may be a little too harsh on this. If we are more complete will you be more accepting towards us?
Ps. The units shown on the list so far is not all the completed ones. There are others.
- Comment: The simple fact is we don't accept any fan-made creations here; if we did, we'd be flooded with Legacy-class Star Destroyers, Xarek Toks and Sun Sabers. The only justification for an article relating to fanon is when it's a very notable part of the Star Wars community, such as SuperShadow or TROOPS. This quite clearly is not very notable; granted, if it becomes successful and a notable part of Star Wars culture once it's finished, we'll welcome it with open arms. But as it stands, it shall be delteated. MarcK 13:14, 15 Oct 2005 (UTC)
