American Graffiti

Nominated as a speedy deletion candidate, but I think a bit of discussion would be good before deleting it. —Silly Dan (talk) 18:37, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Keep

  1. We have articles on Willow and THX-1138, don't we? I think there's room for brief articles on other Lucas productions. (For that matter, we have an article on Star Trek and on Star Trek vs. Star Wars, and I could see an article on The Hidden Fortress being of some interest.) —Silly Dan (talk) 18:37, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

  4. A single page with redirects for all Lucas projects sounds good, but I see it being more difficult to do them justice when they're all on a single page. HavetStorm 19:20, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

  1. Star Wars wiki. Not Lucas wiki. .... 08:29, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
  2. Has almost nothing to do with Star Wars, so delete. Bub 23:15, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  3. Kill it. Willow has its own Star Wars April Fools' joke. THX-1138 appears in most of the movies themselves. What does this "Graffiti" of yours have to do with our galaxy far, far away? Wipe it out! -BaronGrackle 15:02, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Create page for all of Lucas's non-SW works

  1. Support. HavetStorm has the right idea here, even if he then goes on to dismiss it. We should get them all in one place, and make a point to mention each's relevance to Star Wars. jSarek 06:19, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Where's our Howard the Duck article then? What about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? The Godfather, Lucas did a bit of work on that, you know. Robert Duvall? Academy Award? .... 23:14, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • I think we should merge and redirect the American Graffiti page to George Lucas, and put info on his other films there (except for Willow, since it technically has several databank entries). Adamwankenobi 04:12, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Actually, it doesn't. Those entries are not in the databank proper, and I really question the wisdom of having articles about them as we do. I'd think they'd be better handled by redirecting to Willow and mentioning the joke on that page. It's a lot better than writing an article just to put in a BTS saying, "Oh, yeah, by the way, this was all just an April Fools' joke by LFL. Ignore that biography." Havac 02:46, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
      • Perhaps we shouldn't have Infinities articles then? Adamwankenobi 01:10, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
        • They've got a Star Wars label. They are Star Wars. .... 01:34, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
          • And the Willow stories have entries in the StarWars.com databank. American Graffiti does not. Adamwankenobi 01:36, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
            • They had entries in the databank as an April Fools' joke. Now they're archived outside the actual databank. I'd think one article on the Willow April Fools' joke would do it. Havac 19:16, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
              • The entries were never archived as part of the Databank proper in the first place, but they are technically Databank entries. And we should have articles on all Databank entries. Adamwankenobi 19:20, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
