  3. Per Cal Jedi and Savage Bob, "Lepi" is the Latin plural of lepus, which means "hare" or "rabbit". So this is a plural lemma. The article as such looks fine. Riverworld 07:17, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

  • I went through and made some copy-edits, and I feel the Bts could use some better organization. It seems to be all over the place. I'd do it, but I'm not as familiar with the source material. I prefer 4'11" bugs over 6' green bunnies. :P Trak Nar Ramble on 05:57, January 31, 2012 (UTC)
    • Really? I just re-read the BTS and the format works for me. It begins with the first source and mentions the influences on it; then it discusses the fan support that developed prior to the net appearance of the Lepi before discussing the next appearance and its influences, and so on. --Eyrezer 10:21, January 31, 2012 (UTC)
      • Alright, then nevermind. Must have been my sleeplessness. Trak Nar Ramble on 02:19, February 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • One thing I've always wondered about the Lepi: Since they were originally called Lepus carnivorous, and because Lepi would be the plural of the Latinate Lepus (if I remember my high school Latin right), is the singular for this species, ergo, Lepus? Do the sources ever use Lepi in the singular, like "A Lepi did this," or "My dad is a Lepi"? This isn't an objection, just a question. ~SavageBOB sig 12:37, January 31, 2012 (UTC)
    • The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I, p. 269 ("Fhilch, Grubbat") calls Grubbat "a rabbit-like Lepi". —MJ— Holocomm Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 02:43 UTC
      • Interesting; thanks for digging that up. I suppose in-universe Lepi is both singular and plural, then. I imagine that was originally a mistake that has now been made correct through use, much like Duros used to only be the plural name for the species back in 1994 or so. ~SavageBOB sig 12:05, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
