  • Remove speculative material. (e.g. "Various explanations for the seeming discrepancies and inconsistencies are possible, but the safest observation to make is that here, as with most other elements of Chiss life, the evidence available does not allow firm conclusions as to the underlying truth of the matter.")

I think that this is all taking things too far. The author of this page has taken a very long time to complete this page and to give as much detail as s/he possibly can. The whole argument about Fanon is stupid. Star Wars is an ongoing adventure of imagination and as such we cannot stop people adding to it. I think that this work should be preserved and stand as an example to all those who think that Star Wars is done and cannot be added to. If it were not for people adding bits to Star Wars in the first place we wouldn't even have the Expanded Universe. And as to the argument about it reading like an essay, I think it should as the whole website's purpose is for giving people information about Star Wars and letting people voice the things that they have thought of to the ongoing story that is Star Wars. Just because the author has not put it in a perfect order has no power at all over the situation. If it matters to you so much then I shall personally reorganize the page but only if the moderators see thier error in condemning a perfectly good piece which I myself has read and have found almost all of the information to be accurate. Also the speculative writing envokes others to take up the charge of filling in the gaps and answering those questions which should be of paramount importance to the moderators of Star Wars Wiki. This website isn't about telling people facts; it's about letting people express themselves and using their imagination to carry the Star Wars Banner another step of the way. -Carlisst

    • This website's purpose is not, in fact, "letting people voice the things that they have thought of to the ongoing story that is Star Wars." That's what the fanon wiki is for. Now, obviously this is not fanon, but it IS very scholarly-essay-esque, and it's well established how Wikipedia feels about articles that read like scholarly essays. (Not too great, is the answer.) I like a lot of this content but it is not encyclopedic by any definition of the word "encyclopedic." Also, keep in mind that removing FA status is not meant to be a condemnation.
