  • Could you cite a more direct link to that TFN post? Not everybody uses 25 posts per page so some people will have to manually search through the thread for the post. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 03:45, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
From the Council Chambers:
  • Likewise for the three forums.starwars.com links. The new forums allow users to change ppp settings, but more importantly also whether to sort posts as newest first or newest last; thread.jspa?threadID=____&start=____ links go to completely different places in the thread depending on that last setting, and furthermore links designed for a newest first setting will quickly cease to point to the right post as new posts are made. Replace everything from "thread.jspa?" and after with message.jspa?messageID=number#number ; number can be obtained by clicking reply and stealing it from the resulting URL (for locked threads, you'll have to hover over the abuse button and copy it down from the status bar). —Master Jonathan New Jedi Order (Jedi Council Chambers) 22:17, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
    • Got it. This is ridiculously complicated... any chance you could write a tutorial on it? Menkooroo 04:41, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
      • Well, it seems fairly simple to me; we could always just point people to the archive of this page for the explanation, since there's really nothing to add beyond what's in the last sentence of my objection. —Master Jonathan New Jedi Order (Jedi Council Chambers) 14:37, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
