Oppose

  1. I really like this nom, but I think it could use a bit of an explanation on the sentience, sapience, etc. thing. Also, is it canon that the majority of species breathe oxygen or OR? Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 19:20, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
    • The oxygen breathers bit is canon from Alien Encounters. It is said OOU to gamemasters advising them on creating their own species but I believe that still qualifies. As to the sentience expansion part, that is a good idea. I wasn't really sure how/where to expand the article and so will look into it. I'm not sure where I'll find canon commentary on it though. I don't think the RPG books I've looked in so far explore it. --Eyrezer 23:11, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
      • There's mention of sentience test in Planet of Twilight, if that helps. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 14:26, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
        • Actually AE says "carbon-breathing" species. Odd. --Eyrezer 23:12, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
          • I dunno how relevant this is any more, but Ooroo's entry in the POTJ sourcebook states that most species breathed oxygen. -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 15:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
    • So are all the objections cleared up now? Greyman(Paratus) 14:13, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
    • I've made no addition re sentience so nope. --Eyrezer 08:18, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
  2. The "Species Navigation" template should be moved to the bottom, or be changed to a right-floater. The "Article Design" part has little to do with species in the Star Wars galaxy, and should be moved to a tutorial article or the manual of style. --Imperialles 14:01, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
    • What do you mean by a right floater? I actually think it works well at the top as a guide. --Eyrezer 09:20, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
      • See {{Adminnav}} for an example of a right floater. --Imperialles 18:49, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
        • Changed. --Eyrezer 03:17, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
          • Moved species design to MOS. Sorry for the delay. I'd missed the second part of the objection. --Eyrezer 02:02, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Comments

  • Different. Chack Jadson Talk 18:15, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Definately different - but me likes. Could use links in the Notes and References, though.--Goodwood 14:02, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
      • That's an interesting one that. I always leave the links out in my footnotes because that is my preference. --Eyrezer 14:08, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
  • Restored from archive. Still unresolved objections. --Imperialles 09:27, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
