  • Always good to see new blood on the nom pages! First things first you can't have any redlinks at all in the article so all those will need to be created. Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:08, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
    • My time is now, my friend! Working on all those relosers now! Calvin Schubert(talk) 01:36, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • Lambda-class shuttle needs to be written as Lambda-class shuttle throughout the article. Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:08, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
    • Oops, meant to do that... Calvin Schubert(talk) 01:36, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • The title should be moved to skirmish over an unidentified green planet. Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:08, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
    • I totally broke the nom page when I did. Woops. Calvin Schubert(talk) 01:36, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • "The Emperor's plan was for the Death Star to hold order in the galaxy after he, as the Emperor of the galaxy, disbanded the Imperial Senate." I don't think this sentence is really necessary. Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:08, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
    • I was wondering that myself. Calvin Schubert(talk) 01:36, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • "Although the negotiations were ultimately successful, and Jabba became a supplier for the Empire. Is the although necessary here?" Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:08, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
    • True enough. Calvin Schubert(talk) 01:36, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
Manoof

Welcome to the noms page! There'll probably be a few minor things you'll have pointed out to you as a newcomer, and keep an eye on edits made on the article so you notice for future. It may take a bit but don't get disheartened, stick with it and you'll learn HEAPS. I follow pages I review, so any questions you can either leave them here or on my talk page :)

  • Because you moved the page, every article that linked to the old page now has a redirect. If you look at the "What links here" page for the redirect page, you'll see there's a handful that need to be changed. It's usually best to do it when you move the page, so you don't forget and the redirects don't sit unattended. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Why thank you good sir! I'll work on that. Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Has been fixed and redirect page deleted! Calvin Schubert(talk) 06:58, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
    • Awesome :D Manoof (talk) 07:20, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • The section headings should be "The skirmish" and "Notes and references", not "The Skirmish" and "Notes and References" capitalization. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • I always do that...grumble grumble.... Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • You'll have to add a reference to the date in the infobox for the comic issue. From what I can see on the comic issue's page, it only tells us it was after the destruction of the death star. Keep the reference to a new hope as that tells us the death star was destroyed in the battle of yavin. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Hmmm, I'm a little bit confused by what you're saying. We actually don't know the actual date...yet. So Brandon and I have been keeping them as "Not long/Shortly after the Battle of Yavin" Calvin Schubert(talk) 04:17, April 10, 2015 (UTC)
      • That is fine, what I mean is that, if the comic issue doesn't mention the battle of yavin but only the destruction of the death star, you'd have to reference something that mentions the battle of yavin, in which the death star was destroyed. You'd end up with the infobox having "shortly after the battle of yavin<comic reference><other reference>". The comic reference tells us the events happen shortly after the death star's destruction. The second reference tells us the death star's destruction took place during the battle of yavin. Combined, we know the comic events happen shortly after the battle of yavin. As it is now, we only know it happened shortly after the death star's destruction, but how do we know when it was destroyed? I hope that helps. Manoof (talk) 23:38, April 10, 2015 (UTC)
  • I got it no! Fixed! Calvin Schubert(talk) 21:10, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • I think the annihilator can be removed from the infobox, as it didn't take part in the actual skirmish. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • KK Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • You indicate the pilots of the shuttle die in "strength", but not in "casualties". Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Oops... Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • The infobox indicates there is a pilot and a copilot, but the opening quote indicates both are pilots. I don't have the comic so don't know what the situation is, but make sure you're consistent. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Hmm... I see. Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • On a related note to the above point, anything in the infobox needs to be in the body. If you say they die in the infobox, you'll have to say they die in the body. Double check everything else in the infobox as well. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Ok. Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
      • I think it's a mirror of each other now...although I might be missing something. Calvin Schubert(talk) 21:10, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • "Whilst there, Vader acted outside of his orders and hired two bounty hunters for his own secret agenda." doesn't seem to have any relevance to the article, so it can be cut. Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Ok. Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
  • I made a couple of edits, check the history and keep in mind for future: I fixed a redirect, the final brackets of the infobox go on the same line as the last attribute, and files/quotes don't have an empty line after. I'll have another look once these are sorted Manoof (talk) 09:58, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Thanks! Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
      • No problem! Manoof (talk) 07:50, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
  • Actually I just noticed this is well over 1000 words, so it needs to be nominated as a featured article! Manoof (talk) 10:07, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
    • Lookesy there! I have no idea how to do that without breaking this page. :P Calvin Schubert(talk) 23:55, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
      • Once the current objections are sorted (so they're not forgotten), make a note in the comments section that it is going to FA as it is too long and ask an AC member (IRC or the AC page, or their talk page) to archive this nomination. Nominate it as an FA and then go to anyone who has objected (Just me and Ayrehead) that it is now an FAnom, providing a convenient link. ;) Manoof (talk) 07:50, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
        • Alright, my objections are struck, maybe politely ask ayrehead to review his objections so you can take it to the FA page. Manoof (talk) 23:14, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
          • Sorry for the delay. All objections struck. I might have a couple more when it comes to FAN but nothing major. Ayrehead02 (talk) 10:27, April 15, 2015 (UTC)

This is my first attempt at a status article...let's see how it goes! [Edit] I totally forgot to sign this yesterday. Calvin Schubert(talk) 01:26, April 7, 2015 (UTC)

  • This shall be upgraded to a Featured Article Nomination, for it is too long! It shall soon be when I have done things! Calvin Schubert(talk) 05:07, April 10, 2015 (UTC)
  • I require assistance in archiving this page, and re-nominating this article to Featured article status. Please! I'll be on tomorrow for whatever is necessary. Nivlacanator(talk) 06:59, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
