spookly
I think the last sentence in the BTS is a bit excessive and more suited to an Index page. We generally don't (as a matter of precedent) prosify each time an individual's name is mentioned somewhere in a piece of media unless it adds referential value in the form of documenting a 1st or inconsistency.—spookywillowwtalk 15:19, 1 October 2025 (UTC)- Updated the sentence to make it more specific that it is related to Diran's plan for her. - Okay; actually though, it still isn't relevant though for the context of a status article. The vast majority of video game noms (older ones, but even all of Ayre's); all that is required is XYZ character first appeared in [MEDIA]. While there is some wiggle room to include some extra fluff; frankly whether someone is or isn't mentioned on an individual datapad or whether that mention starts a quest is irrelevant by BTS standards and this is supported by ones from many VGs. This is fine on Index pages, but for VG noms we document the 1sts, maybe the major quests in which they actually feature, and stuff like where they were named etc. I'm of the understanding that while the statement is true that doesn't make it relevant according to what past and current nominators have done with VG BTS; in this regard, it would be like mentioning in a novel character's BTS every time they were mentioned in a chapter after the one in which they appeared.—spookywillowwtalk 18:36, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
- Fair enough, that sentence has been removed. ThePedantry (talk) 18:42, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
