  • "The Far Orbit claimed that it had orders to accompany the convoy as well, a set of orders that Conar did not bother checking with Bormea Imperial Command, and that a new destination had been set to link up with an even larger escort force, as Imperial Navy Intelligence had uncovered a plot to intercept the convoy." This sentence is long and choppy and hurts the flow. Try to smooth it out.

  • "and turned on by the Far Orbit; the other accompanying escort frigate had actually been an Alliance privateering vessel in disguise," Saying "the other accompanying escort frigate" seems to differentiate it from the Far Orbit, so it seems like you're describing A-175.   • smaller laser cannons that were starfighter scaled - I don't think you need to specify their scale. That's a game mechanic to show which weapons target starfighters specifically for combat.
