Luuuke Skywalker
- Nominated by: NaruHina Talk
05:22, August 24, 2012 (UTC) - Nomination comments: Let's not mince words. I want this on the Main Page. Possibly for April Fool's Day. I only wish Zahn had done more with this so it could be an FA so another could be a GA on the same day.

- Perhaps it's true. Just wait long enough and TCW will have destroyed all canon. Clone Commander Lee Talk 10:22, August 26, 2012 (UTC)

For now, I do not understand the usage of reference 7 since we already know that they were Jedi during the CW. JangFett (Talk) 16:42, August 24, 2012 (UTC)- Because "An Apoloogy" does not identify them as Jedi. For part of the Clone Wars, Anakin was a Padawan. Traditionally, Padawan are treated as not Jedi yet. NaruHina Talk

- Padawan is apart of Jedi tradition. We know that both are Jedi, as you mentioned in the article, per AOTC and prior to that. Way before TCW even was in existence. I would either find a source or remove it all together. That, or at least modify the reference tag so that it does not mention that TCW first introduced them as Jedi, which is wrong. JangFett (Talk) 03:40, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
- They are part of the tradition, but it's a rank like any other. The ref does not even imply in any sense that TCW was the first source to call them Jedi. This is no different than using the NEC to source a year in an article. I don't understand what the problem is. NaruHina Talk

- I will not argue about that here. You mentioned that TCW establishes both as Jedi, which is wrong. Please either change it or remove it. JangFett (Talk) 03:48, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
- Hm? That's the problem? Jang, remember the whole problem with Anakin's knighting ceremony being moved by the Clone Wars film? That's what I'm referring to. It says "establishes both held positions as Jedi from the Clone War's early stages" and no other source would be appropriate for that because TCW did establish that. NaruHina Talk

- You said "Jedi," which is referring to any rank, which includes Padawan. You did not even say Knight or clarified yourself in the ref tag. TCW did not establish them as Jedi during the war's early stages. If you're looking for a source that does just that, look to AOTC as the earliest or TCW video game, or the micro series. All were Jedi at that point. Now, if you're mentioning that both Jedi Knight Anakin and Master Obi-Wan during the war's early stages, then I'll leave you alone. But the ref tag currently is incorrect. Also another point, if the source does not mention them as Jedi, why are you even bothering to mention this in the article? JangFett (Talk) 03:58, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
- I still don't think it's necessary, but there you go. NaruHina Talk
04:01, August 25, 2012 (UTC) - Because they received no context in "An Apology". Whatever context I gave them, it would need to be sourced. NaruHina Talk

- I would word Anakin's ref tag as establishes Knight early in the war. However, like I said, did the source even give a date or hint at it? I don't understand the need to mention this ref if not. You could've just said Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan and leave it at that. JangFett (Talk) 04:04, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
- Obi-Wan was anointed a Jedi Master soon before Anakin was made a Knight, also part of the retcon. Now? NaruHina Talk

- What about the issue regarding the dates? Did the source give a date? I don't understand why you're mentioning this if they didn't mention them as Jedi nor a date (not seeing anything in the article). JangFett (Talk) 04:21, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I hadn't considered that. It could have been in the month he was still a Padawan. Changed. NaruHina Talk

The last bit of the BtS is not sourced.Shouldn't you refer to Luuuke as Skywalker in the article? I know we have a lot of Skywalkers mentioned, but I thought it was accepted form to refer to them by their last names.- Loooks good. 501st dogma(talk) 16:55, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
