  • Regarding the BTS, you say there is an apparent contradiction between the short story, which basically says Scaanos was assigned to the Steadfast in 0 BBY, and Rise and Fall, which basically says Scaanos took charge of the Steadfast between 3 ABY and 4 ABY—but maybe Scaanos was just assigned as a junior officer?
    • The short story says "Commodore Scaanos had been parachuted in after his predecessor had carelessly managed to get himself killed at the Battle of Ponolapo." and "Pryde had managed to endure four long years of the new commodore". I think this has to mean that Scaanos both was assigned to and took charge of the Steadfast in 0 BBY. CometSmudge (talk) 19:44, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

  • In the article's current form, we should without ref 8 since it is "wrong" for canon purposes and is basically a repetition of the article text. In fact, I don't think it's necessary to include "placing the battle as having occurred by 0 BBY" if we do assume this to be superseded since the rest of the paragraph already tells readers the apparent dating contradiction between "four years" before 4 ABY and "3 ABY or 4 ABY." • Removed it CometSmudge (talk) 19:44, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
  • The infobox and BTS mention Crimson Dawn's war against the Sith, but the article body say it's against the Empire—I know they're both true and I know the article itself is titled "war against the Sith," but for the purposes of this article I think it would be much clearer to refer only to the Empire rather than the Sith. • Changed it to war against the Empire to match the alternate title from the article CometSmudge (talk) 22:01, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

  • Rise and Fall also seems to indicate that an Imperial file titled "Commodore Freylon Obituary" should be checked, would it be worth adding here also? Lewisr (talk) 04:19, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
    • You're right, that should have been mentioned. Added it. CometSmudge (talk) 04:47, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

  • As an addedum, if this was real-life history I would suggest noting the short story's dating as something that's based on Pryde's memory and Rise and Fall's dating as something that's based on a historian's claim/research to give some space for ambiguity (i.e. a primary vs. secondary source, with all the potential pros and cons of them), but this is Star Wars after all so I'm not gonna ask too much about it and I think it's fair enough for the Wook to assume that the most recent source is correct and the short story is in error :P OOM 224 (he/him/they) 20:54, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
