Objections

  • Update needed Lewisr (talk) 05:53, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
    • Update done. The Mask of Fear is a dense, great book, so I'm actually happy this has gone to review. If someone else thinks more need be added, feel free to say, but I think this is comprehensive and updated Editoronthewiki (talk) 23:27, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
      • I think Prelude and Aftermath could both stand to be rearranged into three paragraphs instead of two. Or even sub-sectioned at 2/2 each, potentially. I'm assuming they've just slowly bloated in size over time, but it doesn't look optimal on default desktop view.—spookywillowwtalk 23:46, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
        • Normally I might disagree since I think I prefer longer paragraphs on certain topics, but in this case I actually agree given how the battle section looks. So, split Editoronthewiki (talk) 01:38, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
          • Thanks. But, hm; for the record anyway; it is up to nominator preference, but only to a degree. Large, chunky, monobook style paragraphs are very often nowadays asked to be broken up if they're above a certain line count on default (rail shown) desktop. It's done for a few reasons, but the most important of which are accessibility and aesthetic; over 70% of readers view on mobile, and they look particularly bad there. It's also done so that pages can fit more quotes and illustration where appropriate, as traditionally in older times people could intentionally do less work by just making sections absolutely massive to avoid subsectioning. So—thanks—but also, it is definitely a thing that is a valid objection nowadays and has been for a few years.—spookywillowwtalk 02:48, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

  • I intend to get to this update this week. I want to apologize for this massive delay, but my life—both professionally and personally—has been incredibly busy this last month. I thank you all for your patience. Editoronthewiki (talk) 22:40, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
