Objections

  • Needs a longer introduction and an image to go with it. --Imp 16:53, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
    • OK, you're right. I have added an introduction, which is hopefully not too awful. As for the picture, a four-panel composite of Palpatine, Finis Valorum, Ainlee Teem, and Bail Antilles might be a good choice. — Silly Dan 17:53, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
      • Good job, Dan. I'm going to support this, and hopefully we'll get a picture up before it's featured. --Imp 17:55, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
        • Thanks! Though it turns out there is no picture of Ainlee Teem...it's possible only his colleagues show up on screen. Dang. — Silly Dan 18:23, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

Comments

  • A rare event article that is a) Informative b) Relevant to the Movies c) Well written (Good job Kuralyov!). QuentinGeorge 09:00, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
  • The introduction is currently a single sentence, but I don't think this is grounds to object to the nomination. It just means that the "Featured Article" template would require more than a quote of the first couple of paragraphs. — Silly Dan 16:03, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
  • It is, however, one of the FA requirements. --Imp 16:53, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Lack of a photo for Ainlee Teem needn't necessarily be an obstacle. —Darth Culator (talk) 19:23, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
  • I like the general idea of that picture, but the Gran substitute looks a bit MS Paint-y. --MarcK [talk] 01:31, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
    • But the text reads "Image not available", which is nicely IU. 8) — Silly Dan 01:44, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
      • Just an idea I threw together real quick. I took the picture of Aks Moe and did a freehand selection around his outline, cut him out of the background, blanked the selection with gray, and pasted it over a repeated pattern from HoloNet News. Then I used the Aurebesh font to write "image not available", as you deciphered. :-) —Darth Culator (talk) 23:50, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
      • I've posted the image in the article, and made a sample of what it'll look like on the main page for those interested. I can't really vote one way or the other since I'm in the middle of Cloak of Deception, but at a glance it looks quite good, so if nobody has any more objections, I reckon we can put this in the queue soon. --MarcK [talk] 09:02, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
        • Well, the only other possibility I could think of would be a screencap of some senators yelling "Vote now!" Actually, that might do well in there anyway. — Silly Dan 04:32, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
