Chiba DR-10 protocol droid

  • Nominated by: Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 20:27, June 17, 2012 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments: Update brought the article to 1,054 words, changed the name, and required a rewrite of most of the article, thought I'd go ahead and nom it for the Barn-burner.

  • There are some sentences in the body that somewhat awkwardly vary between plural and singular when discussing the droid: "Chiba DR-10 protocol droids were originally designed for the purposes of negotiation and translation, tasks at which it was aided..." "Some of the droids had translator units to help in translation, and it was programmed to speak..." The bolded emphasis is mine. Varying between plural and singular is fine, I think, but probably not within the same sentence.
    • I think I corrected all of these.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 17:39, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
  • Since the translator unit is equipment, should it get a mention in "Description?" That section takes care to mention that some models have recording units, but it gives the translator unit the cold shoulder.
  • The single paragraph in "Role" is pretty big. Can you split it up?
    • Fixed.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 17:39, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
  • "The Chiba DR-10 protocol droid first appeared in Coruscant and the Core Worlds" --- kinda minor, but "appeared" isn't quite right for something in the "Sources" section.
    • Fixed.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 17:39, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
  • That it's a third-degree droid is currently exclusive to the infobox.
    • Good catch, fixed.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 17:39, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
      • Just to clarify --- does GAW explicitly say that it's a third-degree droid, or should something else (like NEGTD) be sourced here?
        • It's clearly stated.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 18:52, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
  • Since the RPGseed template is in use in the article --- is there a roleplaying adventure in Coruscant and the Core Worlds in which they appear? Something that should be in the "Appearances" section, maybe? Menkooroo (talk) 19:27, July 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Yes, I changed the article to reflect this information.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 17:39, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
      • Just wondering: Should the sentence "Jander Graffe, the Moff of the Darpa sector, who hired thugs to fake Rebel attacks in support of his security taxes during the Galactic Civil War, had two DR-10s in his service on the planet Esseles." also be sourced to the adventure?
        • I just realized that Coruscant and the Core Worlds says that Palpatine ordered him to fake alien riots and does not mention thugs. I believe that the context on Graffe that was there before was derived from some of the West End Games material. I changed it to reflect the words used in Coruscant and the Core Worlds and sourced it to the adventure.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 18:52, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
      • Also, can you use {{WizardsCite}} for "A Taxing Party?" See... here for two examples. Menkooroo (talk) 18:00, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
        • Done.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 18:52, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
