Oppose

  1. Toprawa:
    • I need to avoid reading this for spoiler purposes, but two minor things:
    • Please kill the red link in the intro so the main page looks pretty.
    • Humor me and source the "Previous" and "Next" battles in the infobox. Toprawa and Ralltiir 05:34, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
      • Both taken care of. Havac 05:57, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
  2. Eyrezer:
    • We have policy against the dialogue quote template used in the intro and first section.
      • We have what now? Either you're misinterpreting a rule, or someone passed some complete bullshit without me looking. Show me this rule. Havac 22:41, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
        • The consensus track can be found here. --Eyrezer 23:40, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Also, it would be good to add something about how Jaina Solo was not interested in the rumors , even when Ganner brought them to her.
      • I've strayed about as far from the actual battle as I want to. The article is about the battle, not the runup to it; the prelude is just about giving us context for the battle. Jaina not being there isn't important context. Havac 22:41, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
        • Added it myself. --Eyrezer 21:05, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Some explanation of what "devouring" means is required in this context. --Eyrezer 21:44, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
      • Clarified. Havac 22:41, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
  3. A few penne from the Pasta Bowl of Fiolli:
    • In the battle section: Rhysode's death is mentioned then we find him still alive in the next paragraph. I suggest switching the death to after the mention of the escape. If they are concurrent, that can still be mentioned there.
      • They're concurrent. Rhysode dies during the escape. I've mentioned it a little, but basically what I want is to have the account of the actual battle, and then "Meanwhile, behind the lines of the battle, this occurred," and have each plotline, if you will, independent rather than sticking the one paragraph inside the battle when it actually spans from the beginning to after the end of the battle itself. Havac 05:48, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
    • In the infobox: It says "Outcome: Rhysode dead; Yuuzhan Vong forces dead; World Brain converted." It implies that all the Yuuzhan Vong forces were killed, but in Aftermath it is stated that some survived as witnesses to Rhysode's heroism.
      • Well, some survived, but they may not have been combatants, just spectators. Fundamentally, casualties are 99.9%. I think that's more complication than I want to get into with a quick data-point in the infobox, but if you think it ought to be clarified tell me. Havac 05:48, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
    • I also prefer "seduction" not be used in the Intro. Conversion or persuasion would be more accurate, I think, and a touch less PoV.
      • Dammit, let me have my innuendo-laden fun. Havac 05:48, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
    • All in all, nice read, Havac. I learned something today! Master Aban Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 03:21, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Comments

  • My first non-character FA. Rejoice. Havac 20:49, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
    • If you're anything like me, you won't want to go back. Graestan(Talk) 21:19, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
      • Kudos to you, Havac, for always referring to people using last names. And, per Grae. Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Since it has yet to be codified into policy, this is more of a request, but would it be possible to re-structure the meat of the article according to this page?--Goodwood Redstarbird (Alliance Intelligence) 05:10, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
