Although the template should be unnecessary for us, who all know it’s 3 EC or 2 EC + 3 user to pass, it’s become apparent that many non-ECs aren’t at all familiar with

As such, they’re liable to voting on article that don’t need any more user votes, thus wasting their time, and wasting a review that could be better spend on another article. This template combats this, by easily letting them know when an article does or doesn’t need to be reviewed by a non-EC. This is not to deter users reviewing CANs, more to direct their attention to articles

I also think it’s nice for users who don’t know the different review bodies’ vote requirements to easily see how close their article is to archiving status. And ultimately, it makes all three review systems uniform which is always a bonus, coz lets face it, if you’re good at reviewing, you must be obsessed with uniformity and consistency to some degree.
