Objections

spookly
  • BTS should be referenced.

  • Its recently become a standard objection to add trilogy/book series to the BTS. For Empire's End that will likely look something like Chandrilan raava.
    • I like that format. Will use going forward. ThePedantry (talk) 03:51, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
  • If there are two identifications (as purportedly noted by the templates in the Appearances section) then the BTS should document/expound when each of those first appeared in prose.
    • Let me know if that makes sense. ThePedantry (talk) 03:51, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
  • This seems to be eligible for Category:Creatures of Akiva

  • Chandrila requires context.—spookywillowwtalk 00:00, 22 September 2025 (UTC)

  • (Note the caps) Is the creature identified as "Yaya fly" or "yaya fly"? The template in appearances capitalizes the ID but the body of the article presents it decapitalized.
    • So that one quote is the only instance in the game where it is spelled yaya, with no hyphen and not capitalized. The instances where it is spelled with the hyphen the word is at the beginning of a sentence or in the title of a ui block, so I can't specify anything about the capitalization with that. In Empire's End, it is lowercased, spelled ya-ya. I guess I am not sure I understand what we are looking for here? The only confirmed spelling difference is whether it has a hyphen or not? ThePedantry (talk) 22:29, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
      • It was pretty much just this; basically, the "ID" templates in Appearances should always match the capitalization in the IU portion of the article; in this case, the ID template capped it but it had been bolded de-capitalized.—spookywillowwtalk 22:42, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
  • It seems like a couple of the physical characteristics are eligible for the |distinctions= field of the infobox, which generally aims to list anything that can be prosified. Things like the "Needle-like head protrusion" or how many wings/legs there are (the numbers of which, based on the image in the infobox, should also be noted in prose for the number of legs).—spookywillowwtalk 18:41, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
    • Decided to use the word appendages instead of specifically calling them legs since that is unclear.ThePedantry (talk) 22:29, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
