  1. Are you sure he lived during the Legacy era? You make no note of it in the body but you list Legacy era in the infobox. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 03:13, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
    • The eras icon info pertain just to when the character lived, but also to the era of the source in which the character appears. For example, take Tokra Hazz—he lived in the Rise of the Empire era, but appeared in a Legacy era source, and so received a leg and imp in the eras icon. We don't know when Chusar lived, but he appears in a leg source, so he gets a leg icon. (This is another reason I supported getting rid of the eras info from the infobox in that CT a while back—it creates confusion, because it shows OOU info rather than IU info.) • Actually, according to the LG, era tags are only for eras in which a topic actually exists, which is also why they aren't featured on species and planets and the like, since they would be in all of them (usually). Thefourdotelipsis 03:32, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
      • But Chusar is only mentioned in Allies, like you said we have no idea when he actually lived. Hazz makes sense since he appears in Outcast and is known to have lived during the Rise of the Empire era. But I've never seen eras icons used when a character is only mentioned in a source from some specific time period. Otherwise, characters like Anakin Skywalker would be listed under all eras. Looks like 4dot edit-conflicted me. =P Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 03:35, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
        • No, actually, Hazz does not appear in Outcast. And in response to 4dot, I had assumed for articles like this one or like Hazz—since all information on them is presented during a certain era and/or it shows them affecting someone/something in that era—that we placed the tag for the era in which the information about the subject exists. Since the only information about Hazz and Chusar comes from Legacy era sources, I assumed that's how it was presented; otherwise they'd have no era tags at all. If this is the wrong interpretation, I'll remove it, but I'd like to note that I've had another nom, Thallis Khai, with the same eras layout, and I've never run into objections to this before. If this is an issue, I suggest we make this clearer (i.e. say specifically in the LG that if the character's placement in time is unknown, then they do not receive any era tag) and then weed through any past "mentioned only" noms and make sure there aren't any more. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 17:10, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
          • My mistake on Hazz, but yes, characters should only receive an era icon for a certain era if they are known to have existed in that era. I only raised this objection because I've never seen era icons used in this way. The LG does seem to indicate they only be used for eras where the subject exists, but I suppose it would be a good idea to mention that characters of unknown placement should not receive an era tag. Although I thought this was already the precedent. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 21:21, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
            • Eh, alright, removed. I have to admit that I haven't seen any kind of precedent, because I haven't seen examples for either way, other than those two GAs I already mentioned. And the eras on those were just something I did way back during my noob-stage, and since no one objected to it in those previous two noms, I just assumed that was how we did it. :P Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 21:50, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
