- Does Ultimate Alien Anthology actually count as a source? I'm not saying that the info on the name's appearance in the book shouldn't be included in the Bts, but if it was not a direct reference to this particular individual, then the book probably shouldn't be placed in the Sources section. - We've always treated example names as valid sources in the past. "Wedge Antilles" as a sample Corellian name is kind of an obvious reference to the guy, isn't it? Menkooroo 22:27, January 26, 2012 (UTC)
- I suppose the Wedge-style thing would be kind of obvious, yes. :P (But who knows how many other Wedge Antilleses there are running around on Corellia? :) Though I think the cases of individuals with only one name are a bit more ambiguous. If some source would give "Luke" or "Leia" as examples of typical Human names, we wouldn't treat those as specific references to Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, would we? At least some Devaronias are known to have family names, so Jubal might be a common first name among them and as such not a reference to any individual in particular. But I guess since we all know that it was this Jubal guy who inspired the name's appearance in UAA in the first place, it can indeed be considered a reference to him. (Did this make any sense? Oh well.) Anyway, thanks for clearing up the example-name-as-a-source thing. Tinwe(comlink) 09:33, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
