Not an objection, but feel free to keep the novel quote in the Bts. :) 1358 (Talk) 20:24, November 16, 2010 (UTC)- Menkooroo 13:28, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

No Bts.1358 (Talk) 19:51, November 9, 2010 (UTC)- I knew something is really missing :D Darth Morrt 21:00, November 9, 2010 (UTC)
Film quotes take precedence over novel quotes.- IMO, the additional words in the dialogs of a novelization are kinda 'minor cut-scenes'. I have cut with 'hellips' the words that are different from the film dialog ("one" vs "pod"), so the quote doesn't contradicts the film. The "Instructions?" makes it clear that Bolvan, the gunnery captain is superior. I think the reduced novel quote is better for this article.
- I'll talk to you later regarding this. 1358 (Talk) 10:24, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
- The fact that film material rule over other canon is still there. Stuff from films should always take precedence over other stuff. How about adding the film quote as lead quote and the novel quote in the Bts? 1358 (Talk) 19:45, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

"Its duty was to oversee the chief gunnery officers…" Who is "its"? The assignment's?- The gunnery captain's. I tried not to say 'gunnery captain' in every sentence. Reworded.
- Now it sounds like the Empire was tasked to oversee the chief gunnery officers. 1358 (Talk) 10:24, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

Are you sure Gunnery Captain wasn't an assigment as much as it was a rank?--Bonslywizard(Send a transmission) 17:08, November 19, 2010 (UTC)
- The only direct source of this post states the following: "Bolvan, Captain - Gunnery captain of the Devastator, he was the commanding officer when Darth Vader ordered the destruction of a biological weapons lab on Falleen, resulting in the death of many." It says gunnery captain of Devastator, not gunnery captain aboard Devastator. That's why I think it is not his rank, but I am not good in topic of rank/assignment/commission. It could be a rank as well, but it us just an assumption, isn't it? Darth Morrt 23:38, November 19, 2010 (UTC)
- If that's all we have to go on, asignment is good enough.--Bonslywizard

You'll need to decide if that first section is an intro or not. It has unsourced information that isn't restated elsewhere in the article (such as the fact that more than one chief gunnery officer could serve under the captain). I think the article would probably work better without an intro, though, as restating that info would require the creation of a cumbersome additional section. Comprehensive articles are unique in that they don't need to have intros, even if there's an additional section like "Personality and traits" or "Notable gunnery captains." The first section, as it's currently written, could work just fine as part of the article's "body." All of the information in the first paragraph is currently unsourced, so if you just source it, everything will be OK.- The first section is part of the body. Sourced.
The linking was pretty messy. I fixed it, but remember to link things on their first mention (Bolvan). Star Destroyer was linked once in the intro and twice in the body. I took care of it, but definitely take a note.Menkooroo 05:26, November 20, 2010 (UTC)- Thanks. Darth Morrt 12:23, November 20, 2010 (UTC)
