Prepare to be savaged... but not by Bob!

  • 'Oki was discovered to be Force-sensitive and taken by the Jedi Order for training" is sourced to Grievous Intrigue. This may sound nitpicky, but... that's conjecture. He appears as a background character in the episode, and the episode guide identifies him as a Jedi, and that's all we know about him. We can't infer anything about his early life, or about anything other than when he was standing there in the room, even something as basic as what you've stated. Especially considering that it's sourced to Grievous Intrigue. As unlikely as it seems, he could be one of Djinn Altis's Jedi, or his training could have happened outside of the Jedi Order, or any number of other possibilities --- we just don't know anything at all about his past. I really don't feel like a fleeting background appearance is enough of a basis to infer "was discovered to be Force-sensitive and taken by the Jedi Order for training". I think the article should stick with what we do know and let the reader connect the dots, and all that we do know is that he was a Jedi who lived during the Republic's waning years and that he was standing there in that room. See, for example, Unidentified Jedi (Battle of Alderaan). A great example of a Jedi article that makes no assumptions beyond what's seen on the screen. Sorry if this was long-winded. :^P

      • Thanks for being so cool about it, despite my long-winded explanation. :^D But it actually still remains in personality and traits... which is a section that I think should be merged with the rest of the article, seeing as how it'll probably end up being a single sentence about him carrying a lightsaber.

  • I feel like the article would be better off without an intro. It's definitely short enough that it doesn't need to be summarized in an intro, ya know? ie, the intro doesn't add anything to the article and just kind of seems like baggage. Thoughts? Menkooroo 07:11, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

      • Just remember to add NOTOC to CAN's that have no intro. Took care of it this time, but make a note of it. Also, the Biography heading is unnecessary when there's no intro.

  • A few more: The article should identify him as a Jedi (can be sourced to the episode guide).
    • Fixed, but I believe we can say that he was was a Jedi by the episode.
  • Can you mention that Grievous's capture of Koth was during the Clone Wars?
