Cybot

  • Nominated by: Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 19:34, May 8, 2015 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments:Another one of the Jedi Knight multiplayer characters, and one of my favorites to play... Although I only ever played Canyon Oasis by myself. :(

  • If you are going to mention the full release date for one game, you should do it for both for consistency.
    • That makes sense. Consider it done. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 18:32, May 9, 2015 (UTC)
  • I don't understand why you only list the pistol in his equipment section.
    • I guess I forgot. Though I wonder if any of the weapons should be listed, as they aren't actually a part of the Droid. We don't have equipment sections in infoboxes for non-droid characters, for example.--Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 18:32, May 9, 2015 (UTC)
      • Okay, you should remove it.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 13:29, May 16, 2015 (UTC)
  • The sensor color is infobox-exclusive.
    • Whoops. Fixed. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 18:32, May 9, 2015 (UTC)
  • Due to the game's graphics, I'm not sure if you can state it outright in the body, but you should at least mention the droid's similarity in appearance to the 3PO series in the BTS.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 13:30, May 9, 2015 (UTC)
    • I was wondering this too. There's a number of 3PO units walking around various levels, and they're just referred to as Protocol Droids in text. This is the multiplayer version of the droid, who differs in being more limber (For obvious, game mechanic reasons). But I was wondering if the duck test would just apply, as what other kind of protocol droid could it be? I don't even think the graphics would hinder that identification. But, if we can't be for sure, I mentioned it in the BtS now. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 18:32, May 9, 2015 (UTC)
      • After considering this, I think you can say that it was a 3PO-series droid in the body. You should get the model's height from one of the droid books and include it. Make sure to source it using an explanatory reference. I would note in the BTS that he used a model that was used elsewhere in the games.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 13:29, May 16, 2015 (UTC)
        • His texture is that of the NPCs (And his head). His actual body is that of Kyle Katarn's, as are nearly all of the player model bodies (Not the female ones, obviously). In fact, I wonder if because of that, we can match his height to Katarn's, or if we just consider to be more of a gameplay or technical limitation. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 17:59, May 21, 2015 (UTC)
          • The droid being the same height as Katarn would just be game mechanics. You have an unsourced infobox item that is exclusive to the infobox.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 01:20, May 28, 2015 (UTC)
            • I've changed the source to the New Droid Guide, based on how the 3PO series article was updated. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 02:37, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
  • The sourcing for the degree needs an explanatory reference.
    • How does that look?--Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 17:59, May 21, 2015 (UTC)
      • I believe that it would be preferable to have all of the information in one reference.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 01:20, May 28, 2015 (UTC)
        • Like this? --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 02:37, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
  • If he is called a protocol droid, shouldn't he be in the related category? Don't add the third-degree droids category, since protocol droids is a sub-category.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 13:29, May 16, 2015 (UTC)
    • Oh, okay then. Done. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 17:59, May 21, 2015 (UTC)
      • Normally I'd just fix this, but I want to point out that you should not include a category when you include a subcategory, such as "Droids" and "3PO-series protocol droids."
        • Oh, I see! Sorry. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 02:37, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
  • Does the game refer to Cybot as "Protocol droid" with that capitalization?--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 01:20, May 28, 2015 (UTC)
    • Yes. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 02:26, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
Manoof
  • I can't remember if this game had it due to how early it is, but did he have any taunts or audio that he said that is unique to him? Manoof (talk) 08:35, May 20, 2015 (UTC)
    • No. He uses some sound effects from the other protocol droids, though. But that's it. None of the multiplayer characters actually talk. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 03:18, May 21, 2015 (UTC)
      • I thought that was the case, but as I haven't played it for years, just wanted to be sure as some of the later ones did. Manoof (talk) 06:06, May 21, 2015 (UTC)
