"Occuring as the Mandalorians struck at the Galactic Republic along three routes during the Mandalorian Wars, the engagement in the Sy Myrth star system…" I know you're going for a "meanwhile" sort of opening to this sentence, but it reads like you're trying to describe the Mandalorian Wars as an engagement in the Sy Myrth system.
