The Inaugural Meeting of the AgriCorps will take place at 22:00 UTC (that's 6PM Eastern in North America) on Saturday, October 4th in the AgriCorps IRC channel (see Graestan for directions).

As the AgriCorps is still in its infancy, the focus will be on organization and training. There are going to be plenty of unresolved matters as to how we do business, and how to undertake each of our duties.

Agenda

Feel free to add to this as necessary.

  • To-do list – List any start-up tasks that need to be carried out here. Strike any that have been accomplished before the meeting time.
    1. Some form of former GA status, similar to former FAs, needs to be set up. GT informs me some of this infrastructure is already in place, so we just need to figure out how we'll make everything fit.
    2. The GA checklist needs to be updated to look more like the FA checklist.
  • Training – Let's make sure everyone is up-to-specs on the GAN rules, reviewing, and using the new processes such as GA archiving.
  • Membership – There are a few people who have been heavily involved in GA in the past that we may wish to invite as members. Additionally, initial data regarding other GA regulars who might be potential candidates can be looked at.
  • A few more rules: Some things were not touched upon in the CT, such as how many votes it will take to remove a nom from the page, how long do we wait before we do so, etc. I would like to touch upon those things in the meeting.
  • Meeting times: I think most people would like to have a monthly meeting system like the Inq, but as the AgriCorps is still in it's infancy, and since we don't know the exact time we are going to meet each meeting, I'd like to discuss this as well.

Attendance

I realize we're spread out over two continents and several time zones, so if you can't make it, that's okay, but we'd love your input.

Results

  • Log
  • Greyman joined the group, with unanimous approval by way of Graestan asking everyone ahead of time.
  • AdmirableAckbar, Eyrezer, and Jedimasterfiolli sat in on the meeting, but declined invitations to join.
  • To-do list – Graestan will try and sit down with GT about setting the GAN archiving page up as well as creating a de-GA infrastructure given what's in place.
  • Rules – Since we're still small and not in our stride yet, a month after last objection for GAN removal votes, and three removal votes with less than two opposed to remove.
  • Meeting times – Going for a Sunday afternoon (US time) next time to get Cav and Xadun on board.
  • GAs for removal – Pending a system being in place. Category:Good articles needing attention is a good start. Graestan(Talk) 23:22, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
