The West Hall was a large open area of Cloud City, a mining colony on the planet Bespin. The West Hall had many tunnels that led to other areas of Cloud City, including the central core and maintenance sections in the city's outer ring.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the Ugnaughts Lonaste and Beetase passed through the West Hall as they attempted to locate a starship for their clan to use to escape the city after it was occupied by the Galactic Empire. There, they spotted the arms dealer Yoxgit speaking with an Imperial stormtrooper before ducking away down a passage. After the pair located a vessel in a landing bay, Lonaste left to assemble her clan, intending to travel back through the West Hall, but encountered Yoxgit prior to reaching it, who came at her with a blaster. However, he was incapacitated by Lonaste's aunt Moloste, who had, with the rest of the clan, packed their things and left Ugnaught Town to follow them.[1]
Behind the scenes
The West Hall appeared in "Bespin Escape," a short story written by Martha Wells and published in the 2020 anthology From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.[1]
