- "This is a diplomatic vessel of the Fifth Ruling Family, and we often welcome high-positioned officials aboard. Each social and professional position requires its own proper expanse, decor, and pattern. In each of those situations the reception area can be automatically reconfigured and decorated before the guest's arrival. As it is, the room is barely large enough to properly welcome a brother or sister of one of the Nine Families. Fortunately, most of them travel but little, and then mainly in vessels of their own."
- ―Aristocra Chaf'orm'bintrano
Welcoming ceremony was a formal ceremony held by the Chiss species for visiting officers and officials. The Crustai asteroid base[1] and the Chiss diplomatic vessel Chaf Envoy had welcoming chambers to host such ceremonies.[2]
History
- "In the name of all who serve the Chiss, I greet you, Admiral Ar'alani."
"I accept your greeting, and greet you in return, Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Do you guarantee my safety, and the safety of my crew?"
"I guarantee your safety with my life and the lives of those of my command. Enter in peace, and with trust." - ―Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo and Admiral Ar'alani
In 27 BBY,[3] Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," held a welcoming ceremony for Aristocra Chaf'orm'bintrano, core name "Formbi," in a welcoming chamber at the Crustai asteroid base. In the same year, Thrawn held the ceremony for Admiral Ar'alani in the same chamber.[1]
