Weequay blaster lance

The Weequay blaster lance also known as an ancient blaster rifle, long-barreled blaster rifle, or simply Weequay Rifle, was a type of exceptionally long-ranged blaster rifle native to Sriluur.^[1]

Characteristics

An ancient model of blaster rifle,^[2] the hard hitting blaster lance was developed by the Weequay of Sriluur for desert warfare. Possessing unusually long barrels - some as long as two meters - blaster lances tended to be cumbersome. This was offset by their extreme range (even when compared to other rifles), which made it ideal for hunting in desert wastes where enemies could be spotted at great distances. Due to these qualities, blaster lances came to be revered for their ability to hit virtually anything visible under the light of Quay.^[1]

History

Blaster lances were used by several members of Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang. Some of Hondo's men attached blades to the ends of these rifles like bayonets. HELIOS-3D, HELIOS-3E, and another IG-86 sentinel droid, all members of Cad Bane's posse, were known to use these type of rifles. The bounty hunters Cato Parasitti and Twazzi were also seen carrying these weapons. The Onderon rebels used these blaster rifles as sniper rifles. The rifle was capable of delivering an electroshocks to droids, fire stun blast that disabled droids, and shooting blaster bolts.
