War Ministry

The War Ministry was the Imperial department responsible for matters related to the Imperial Military and war.[1] The head of the ministry was known as the Minister of War.[2] During the Imperial Era, the various agencies within the ministry placed several budgetary restrictions on Sienar Fleet Systems engineers designing the starfighters of the TIE Series, resulting in many technical limitations in the finished designs.[1]
