Alderaanian walking barnacles were a species of aquatic crustaceans found on the planet Alderaan[1] in the Core Worlds.[2] During the Battle of Coruscant in the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems[1] in 19 BBY,[3] the sight of the eerily life-like ripples of Separatist vulture droids clinging to the curves of the Trade Federation flagship Invisible Hand resembled the bristling of Alderaanian walking barnacles on a marine predator.[1]
Behind the scenes
Alderaanian walking barnacles were mentioned in Matthew Stover's 2005 novelization of the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[1]
