Voe's lightsaber

A green-bladed lightsaber belonged to Voe, a Force-sensitive female human who joined the Jedi Order under the tutelage of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. Voe used this lightsaber before it was destroyed during her hunt for Ben Solo following the destruction of the Jedi Temple. She replaced it with the lightsaber of her friend Hennix, who was killed by Solo during a conflict on Elphrona.

History

In 28 ABY,^[2] after Ben Solo destroyed the Jedi Temple of Luke Skywalker, Voe alongside fellow Padawans Tai and Hennix, confronted Ben and questioned him about it. Voe drew her lightsaber first when Solo said he was leaving, saying he wasn't going anywhere. As Hennix and Tai also ignited their lightsabers, Voe charged at Solo, but was easily beaten, with the former Jedi escaping after injuring Hennix.^[1]

The three Padawans quickly followed Ben to an outpost on Elphrona where they had a duel.^[4] When Solo jumped to a cliff, Voe followed him and was forced pushed by Solo at the same time Hennix threw his saber at him, but Ben threw it back, killing Hennix while he let Voe fall from the cliff on accident. While Tai managed to catch her, Voe's lightsaber was torn in half from the fall, with Voe picking up Hennix's saber to avenge her friend.^[5][6]

Behind the scenes

Voe's lightsaber first appeared on the first issue of the Marvel Comics comic mini-series Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren, created by comic writer Charles Soule and illustrated by Will Sliney.^[7]
