Vob was a gas giant–type planet[2] located in the Vob system, a part of the Ktilac Regions sector in the Slice portion of the Inner Rim.[1] It was famous for its perpetual atmospheric storms,[2] which constituted a natural wonder.[3] The Vob system was one of only three star systems in the Ktilac Regions—which were governed by the native Ktilac, Murachaun, and Tocoyan species—that was open to outsiders under strict conditions.[1]
Behind the scenes
Vob was created by Christopher Kubasik and introduced in Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin, a 1989 sourcebook published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Vob system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square N-9.[1]
