Vivisector gangs were criminal groups that were notably present on the pirate backwater planet Ankhural during the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. The gangs tagged the alleyways in Ankhural's capital city.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] the rebel soldier Brand traversed the streets of the city, where vivisector gang members, white-skinned men with six fingers, watched her move past. Armed with scalpels, the gang members were put off attacking the soldier when they spotted the rifle and knife that she carried.[1]
Behind the scenes
Vivisector gangs appeared in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[1] In real life, vivisection was the practice of cutting open a live animal, typically for investigation.[3]
