Violet-rated constable was, along with ultraviolet-rated constable, one of the two ranks of officers that composed the upper leadership of the Sullustan Constable Brigade, the law enforcement arm of the SoroSuub Corporation, which ruled the Outer Rim Territories planet Sullust. Like the other brigade ranks, the rank of violet-ranked constable was named for a color of light.[1]

The rank of violet-rated constable was mentioned in the 2015 Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Strongholds of Resistance, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games as part of the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game.[1]
