The Violet was a freighter in service of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Prior to being given an assignment as a combat pilot, rebel Norra Wexley flew the Violet for several years, during which her flying allowed the bulky freighter to outmaneuver Star Destroyers and interceptors. The Violet had some armaments, which were operated by a separate individual and not the pilot.[1]

The Violet was mentioned in "The Buy-In," a short story that was written by Suzanne Walker as part of the anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi[1] and published on August 29, 2023.[2]
