Vilas was a male dewback who was owned by Annileen Calwell, a businesswoman who owned Dannar's Claim. After another dewback named Snit escaped the compound with Annileen's teenage daughter Kallie Calwell, Annileen rode after her daughter on Vilas. She managed to use Vilas to mount Snit but was unable to regain control of the unruly Snit. The fugitive Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi managed to rescue Kallie with his eopie mount Rooh.[1]
