A vibropick was a type of lockpicking tool. It was considered a more archaic way to breach physical security. While most locks in the galaxy depended on an electrical component, there were places and cultures without a consistent supply of electricity. Additionally, an unexpected power loss could necessitate the manual manipulation of previously electronic locks. In these circumstances, a vibropick or laser lockpick became a suitable option.[1]
