Viatar was a Human male captain who served the Sith Empire during the Galactic War. In 3640 BBY, he had been stationed at the Jagged Plains Imperial Garrison on Hoth, an outpost that was about to be undermined by a team of Republic sappers. However, Viatar's response team was attacked and killed by the indigenous wampas, and he was forced to seek out an Imperial hero to properly resolve the issue.
