Little is known about Vexxtal Crystals or their origins. They are generally only found in the lightsabers of dark side of the Force users. A corrupting aura is left on those wounded by lightsabers with this crystal.

Behind the scenes

An interview with W. Haden Blackman indicated that this crystal is all that's left of "Force Plague," a power cut from the final version of The Force Unleashed.[1]
