"We need someone who understands the binary language of Verossian computers, huh? Say, I think I know who might be able to help!"
―An individual, to their companions[1]

The Verossian computer was a type of computer[1] that originated in[3] the Verossia system of the Mid Rim's Strabin sector.[2] Verossian computers utilized the binary language,[1] which was also spoken by droids.[4]

At one point during the Galactic Civil War, a group of individuals was in need of understanding the binary of Verossian computers. One of the group's members then realized a contact of theirs could help with their problem.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Verossian computer was mentioned in the 1995 sourcebook Heroes & Rogues, authored by Rick Stuart and Paul Sudlow and published for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The book mentions the type of computer in an example line of dialogue illustrating the role professional contacts may play in developing the backstory of the player characters. This article assumes the situation plays out as described.[1]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Verossian computers in relation to the Verossia system.
