Verig was a primitive planet home to a group of native nomadic hunters. During the Galactic Civil War, Rebel Alliance tactician Beryl Chiffonage traveled to Verig and drew inspiration from the planet's nomads, who used a bola-like weapon to trip the large Pryss-creatures, to develop a similar maneuver for use against Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport walkers.
